The pair of paintings in question enters with certainty in the body of works of the master Carlo Botti and will enlarge the catalog which documents his copious activity, and that according to the sources the most authoritative, Critical Dictionary and Documentary of AM Comanducci, "The Italian Painters of the Nineteenth Century" was to include around 2000 works, including 700 portraits.
