Louis XV Napoleon III Game Table - Marquetry - Rosewood & Rosewood - 19th

Louis XV style eventful game table, Napoleon III period. This table is worked in rosewood and rosewood. Two exotic woods often used together to create contrast. Indeed, here rosewood is used to frame and highlight the work of curling, marquetry, geometric rhombuses of rosewood. The system of this table is in perfect condition. The subtly animated top swivels to reveal a storage compartment before opening onto a green felt tray. This felt, as is, is elegantly surrounded by new rosewood and rosewood work. In addition, this plateau has a bronze gallery carved into a belt. This table is based on four Louis XV style arched legs entirely in rosewood. These four feet are dressed in beautiful bronzes, uprights and hooves as well. The open top is 84 x 78 cm.
