"A Pair Of Italian Landscapes By Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich Dietricy (1712-1774)"
Two classic Italian landscapes (Campagna di Roma) with ancient figures, among which the goddess Diana. This pair of Old Master paintings was created in the 18th century and confirmed in 2001 by the former expert master Mr. Wolf of Dorotheum Auctionshouse, Vienna as original works by the famous German landscape painter Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich Dietrichy (17712 Weimar-1774 Dresden). For comparison, see additional photos of similar works by the same artist from the Hermitage collection, St. Petersburg. The artist traveled to Rome and Venice in 1743 and our works are from this period.
