"Louis XIV Bronze Andirons"
Majestic pair of imposing bronze andirons from a castle in Arriege, between Carcassonne and Mirepoix (both medieval cities) decorations with foliage, acanthus leaves, volutes and shield (empty coat of arms) surmounted by a massive buckle 9.5 cm in diameter . they are in perfect condition, a ring has been restored but you can hardly see them they are quite heavy 14 kilo per chenet. these are exceptional and very rare pieces. they are really from the 17th century
