Jan Sanders, Belgian painter born in 1936 in Aalst. He studied at the Academy of Aalst. In 1957, he attended the Académie Libre in the city of Paris and then at the Académie de Bruxelles. Begins with intimate works, evolves towards abstraction and pop-art.
First mention at the "Young Belgian painting" prize in 1967.
Work acquired by the State, in the Museums of Ostend and Aalst, Brussels and Rosmalen (Netherlands).
