Louis XV commode stamped J.TUART and P. MIGEON. Middle 18th century. Rosewood veneer chest of drawers in multi-lobed reserves with violet wood frames and boxwood fillets. The frame and the fonçures are in oak. It opens with two drawers. The facade is slightly curved. The front uprights are rounded and inlaid with violet fern wood. They end in arched feet furnished with hooves. Bronze trim composed of handles, keyholes, cul-de-lamp and clogs. The top is in purple Brocatelle marble, it is molded on the edge of a double beak corbin. Two more recent locks, functional with a key. Recent buffer varnish finish. J.TUART stamp for Jean Baptiste I TUART received master on February 1, 1741. Established in the cloister of Saint-Germain-L'auxerrois, this cabinetmaker obtained various orders from the Menus-Plaisirs administration between 1744 and 1753. Second stamp of the cabinetmaker and dealer Pierre MIGEON IV (II) accompanied by JME punches.
