19th century, Northern Europe embossed and burnished metal Mirror

Small and refined mirror of the 19th century in regency style, made in the north of Europe, in embossed and burnished brass. This particular mirror has an ebonized external frame that surrounds three concentric sections. The external and the internal ones are in embossed and burnished metal to simulate the bronze with decorative foliate and floral elements. The intermediate section has some decorative inserts interspersed with embossed and burnished bronze reliefs with phytomorphic ornaments. The triangular cimasa, also in embossed and burnished metal, shows in the centre a youthful face inserted in a thick and rich decoration of volutes with leaf and blackberry elements.
