Magnificent drawing of an element of classical architectural decoration which is reminiscent of the designs of the architects Percier and Fontaine. Here we find a fascinating achievement of great power both in the modeling and in the relief of the subject. Charcoal on paper circa 1810/1820. Small insect spots, it should also be noted a small old restoration of the left edge with paper reinforcement. Beautiful and large frame in period gilded stucco. Frame: 80.5 x 68.
