Nicole Gilles was controller of the royal treasury under Charles VIII, one of the first French historians and one of the last chroniclers. This work on the Chronicles of France contains 6 full-page genealogical tables, many portraits of kings of France, as well as many initials, all engraved on wood. Book revised, corrected and enhanced by François de Belleforest. Also contains the genealogies and portraits of the kings of France. Good condition.
