Jean-Baptiste-Louis Gresset, born August 29, 1709 in Amiens where he died June 16, 1777, is a French poet and playwright. He was a Jesuit from 1726 to 1735. He is best known for his poem Vert-Vert or Les Voyages du parroquet de Nevers published in 1734.
