"Neapolitan Nativity Scene XVIII Eme"
Very beautiful scene of the Nativity composed of St Joseph, the Virgin Mary, the baby Jesus and two women.The very finely carved figures are in polychrome terracotta, the body in fluff, and the eyes in glass. Some of them are dressed in period clothing.
A basket with trompe-l'oeil food is placed on the knees of the seated woman.
18th century Neapolitan work in a very good state of conservation.
Small losses on the end of two of the baby Jesus.
The whole is placed on a round plinth which had a globe unfortunately disappeared.

Mary: 24 cm
Jesus: 11 cm
Seated woman: 14 cm
Standing woman: 30 cm
