Very beautiful portrait (pencil on paper) of a noble young French or Russian woman was executed in the first half of the 19th century by Alphonse Giroux (1775-1848), a famous French miniature artist and portrait painter, his miniature portrait of Count Rumjantzoff was in the collection of Russian Impress (illustrated by Williamson). A painter of the same name was a well-known Parisian art dealer, pupil of David, organized between 1811 and 1857 various workshop sales, was a restorer and cabinetmaker, restorer.
