New edition. New translation with reflections by Mgr G. Darboy archbishop of Paris. Inset illustrations on Overbeck steel, with frieze, text page surrounded by a frame in bistre colors by Rouargue, ornate initial letters. A frontispiece printed in gold and in color in chromolithography. The Imitation of Jesus Christ (in Latin "de imitatione Christi") is an anonymous work of Christian piety from the end of the 14th century or the beginning of the 15th century. It is currently estimated that its author is Thomas a Kempis. Very good state. The binding is unsigned, but she would have deserved it.
