"Walnut Inkwell In Trompe l'Oeil In Gilt Bronze On Walnut Branch XIXth Century"
Charming inkwell in gilded bronze with gold and chiseled representing in trompe-l'oeil a natural walnut on leaves and a walnut branch, all nicely chiseled. The walnut shell, fixed on the branch, opens by means of a hinge located at the back and reveals a small white opaline inkwell marked "deposited" in relief on the bottom. Beautiful quality of execution and carving. Length: 13 cm X 12 cm wide Height: 5 cm This inkwell which is old and has been used. It has only been cleaned, but not too much so as not to deprive it of its old charm. There are some signs of age and use, including traces of purple ink on the edge of the inkwell. The somewhat small opaline inkwell has probably been changed. Its gilding is in good condition and the hinge in working order. A beautiful office object that will seduce you with its originality!
