The panel shows the representation of Saint Joseph accompanied by the Child Jesus according to the iconography of the 17th century. This work was collected in Corrèze (Bas-Limousin), it is rustic, beautiful facial expressions and beautiful patina. We notice the thinness of the thickness of the panel little in relation to the 17th century panels but we find a similar work in the Church of Saint-Michel in Chanteix in Corrèze dated from the Louis XIV period and possibly attributable to the workshop of Mouret . In addition to a similar iconography, the strille decoration in the background is identical between the two panels. Condition report: the panel is in fairly good condition and rather healthy, to report some lack of wood on the edges, traces of flight of insects on the left side of the Child Jesus and on the back of the panel and some internal attacks of stabilized insects, small scattered gaps in paint and gilding.
