The serene and relaxing atmosphere of bucolic life in the 19th century for this work by the English artist who lived in Provence Walter Biddlecombe. The work represents a shepherd fishing in the Durance near his sheep. In good condition, it is signed lower right and measures in its recent frame 48 cm by 56 cm, and 33 cm by 41 cm without the frame. English artist living in Provence, friend of Monticelli, he exhibited at the Royal Academy and Suffolk Streert from 1883 to 1886
