"Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Dish, XIXth Century"
A Chinese cloisonné enamel dish from the 19th century. Decorative plate made with the cloisonné technique, which consists of creating cells with precious metal wires that have been filled with colored enamels and then polished, the metal of the plate and the copper. Dish on the front decorated with Asian birds, flowers and mountains on a blue and green pattern background, a so-called blue “cloud neck” pattern adorning the side of the dish. The back is decorated with different flowers including lotus flowers and water flowers and a fish scale star surrounding the heel of the dish.
