Very beautiful watercolor, portrait in foot of Adelaide of Hasbourg-Lorraine (presumed from).

The Archduchess poses on a terrace with vines and roses, with for decoration what could be the bay of Naples.The detail of the clothes is superb.
The portrait is signed and dated by the painter Floriano Pietrocola, 1858.

Of very high quality, the watercolor is in pretty good condition.In its juice, a restoration could erase the small stitches and give it its original shine.
It is sold with its original XIX gold frame.

Adelaide de Habsbourg-Lorraine (born in Milan on 3 June 1822, died in Turin on 20 January 1855) is an Archduchess of Austria, wife of Victor-Emmanuel II of Savoy.Born Adelheid Franziska Marie Rainera Elisabeth Clotilde, she was the daughter of Archduke Rainier, viceroy of the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom, and Elisabeth of Savoy-Carignan, sister of the King of Sardinia Charles-Albert.
In Stupinigi (Turin) on April 12, 1842, she married her cousin Victor-Emmanuel II of Savoy, and became queen of Sardinia in 1849.

Floriano Pietrocola is an Italian painter born in 1809 in Vasto, and died in Sorrento.
He’s a painter listed in the Benezit.
Student of the School of Fine Arts of Naples. He is known for his watercolours, his miniatures on Ivory, and his landscapes. Several of his works can be found in the Royal Palace of Naples.
