- Polychrome etching depicting two pairs of mallard ducks taking flight over a lake. - Signed in pencil in the lower right margin GFRötig and marked in the left margin CFR1937 for the year of printing of the engraving. - Georges-Frédéric Rötig is a French animal painter born in Le Havre in 1873 and died in Paris in 1961, he received several awards at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1903 and in 1913 the Rosa-Bonheur Prize. - Several of his paintings are in the public collections of French museums. - Note some tiny freckles on the engraving and the margin without gravity for the aesthetics of the engraving, see photo. - Period wooden frame with a black edging and glass pane. - Period 2nd quarter of the 20th around 1937.
