Gorgeous portrait of the Duchess of Angoulême richly dressed in sumptuous clothing, her traditional crown and her signature feather headdress that she wears in all official portraits of her.
No longer young, the Consort of the Dauphin of France appears proud and austere.
The author excellently highlights the character of the character, strong and charming.
Maria Theresa Charlotte of Bourbon (Versailles, December 19, 1778 - Frohsdorf, October 19, 1851), Duchess of Angoulême, Dauphin of France (and also, for a few minutes in 1830, Queen of France), then in exile Countess of Marnes, known also as Madame Royale, she was the eldest daughter of Louis XVI of France and Marie Antoinette of Habsburg-Lorraine.
