ROYAUMONT (de) - History of the old and the new testament, with figures and edifying explanations, taken from the Holy Fathers, to regulate customs in all kinds of conditions. sl, S. e., circa 1700; in-4, XVI-550 pp., modern full vellum binding, smooth spine, flat emblazoned with the arms of the Marquis de Kerouelle. Royaumont, prior of Sombreval, is a pseudonym under which Nicolas Fontaine published, in 1694, a Bible, a collection of figures from the Old and New Testaments, with explanations. This text is also attributed to Lemaistre de Sacy. Unfortunately this edition is not complete, the title page is repaired. Half of it is missing, a few pages are also missing and some only have the engraving.
