From his marriage, he received the lands of Nuillé-sur-Vicoin, Lancheneil, Montchevrier, Quelaines. The Marquis made several campaigns in the Black Musketeers and was aide-de-camp to Marshal Schomberg before his marriage. The Préaux family takes its name from the land of Préaux located in Touraine (in the present-day department of Indre) near Châtillon sur Indre and died in 1971. The first of the filiation followed is Raoul de Préaux, knight , living in 1232. Their motto was: Virtus in nobilibus placet (in moral strength is nobility). The Meaulne family is a noble family of old extraction on proof of 1477, it is from Anjou and remains today.
