"Pair Of Sèvres Porcelain Plates - Eighteenth Time"
Pair of rectangular-shaped plates in soft Sèvres porcelain, with rich polychrome decoration of small bouquets of flowers in reserves surrounded by leaves in green ribbons enhanced with gold. These plaques bear two interlaced L's from Sèvres as well as the letter P for 1768 as well as the mark of the painter-decorator Tandart on one. Tandart for Jean Baptiste Tandart active from 1754 - 1800. These plaques were produced and ordered to adorn a small piece of furniture as the famous cabinetmaker Martin Carlin did in the 18th Century. They are in perfect condition, no cracks and no restoration, one has wear to the gilding.
