Plaster bust of Madame de Fondville on a pedestal in imitation of portor marble after Jean-Baptiste Defernex ( 1729-1783 ) Trace of signature and dated 1750.
Madame de Fondville ( 1721-1783 ) married the King's Advisor. They lived in a prestigious hotel in Le Mans, where they rubbed shoulders with some of the kingdom's leading figures.
