Fagnolle is located in Wallonia, in the province of Namur.
Chateau de Fagnolle: "Its typical plain castle, high in the marshy valley which limits the forest of Thiérache to the north, commanded the" gap "of the Oise. It was destroyed on August 20, 1554 by William the Silent, so that the French could "Henry II did not occupy it. Partly ruined, the castle was not finally abandoned until 1659, when the line of defense of the Netherlands was transferred to the Sambre by the Spanish government."
