These qualities are specific to him. They make him one of the best cabinetmakers of the reign of Louis XVI. The signature of his works can be summed up by the rigor highlighting the chosen veneers of very good quality by arranging them in large surfaces, using the bright and colorful play of grain and knots. He inscribes them in frames of bronze moldings which show the rigorous and discreet elegance of the furniture. Ref. KJELLBERG, Pierre, French furniture of the 18th century, Paris 1998
