"Portrait Of A Man Claude Lefèbvre (1632/1675) Entourage"
Oil on canvas 46/56 cm without frame 65/83 cm with frame French school Claude Lefèbvre (entourage) Very beautiful portrait of a magistrate from the time of Louis XIV. Painting very close to the invoice of Claude Lefèbvre, known for his portraits, he worked for Eustache Lesueur, then in the studio of Charles Lebrun. The frame is Louis XVI, it has small accidents in the ribbon, it has been transformed to accommodate the painting. The oval presentation is quite natural, at the time a number of portraits are represented in this way. In the case which concerns us, the assembly is not really orthodox, but it nevertheless exudes a certain charm for this table.
