This large pair of 17th century angels in sculpted wood in the round, was part of the decoration of an altarpiece.
Entirely in their original state, with the polychromy and the period gilding, they also have the great strength to have their wings which are naturally weakened by time.
Both chubby with plump forms, they have a smiling face and graceful gestures. The light color of their skin is highlighted by their golden loincloth, belted and crossed at the shoulder and by their golden wings.
This pair of angels, exceptionally winged, is in a state that the shortcomings and accidents due to time, do not alter in any way.
