He is the father of the painter Louis-Frédéric Grosclaude, a pupil of his father, born in Geneva. Louis-Aimé Grosclaude entered the studio of Jean-Baptiste Regnault in 1805 and attended the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. he did not exhibit at the Paris Salon from 1827. He was the teacher of Fritz Zuber-Buhler when the latter moved to Paris. He painted two works for Baron James de Rothschild. Grosclaude is a member of the Royal Academy of Berlin.
