"Oil On Canvas Signed Claude Gozlan (1930-2006)"
Oil on canvas dated 1974 and signed by Claude GOZLAN (1930-2006). Claude Gozlan is a French painter and lithographer, born in Tunis on October 27, 1930 and died on March 23, 2006 in Paris. After an expressionist period, he imposed the singularity of his style and the reliability of his technique. André Malraux saw in him "the painter of the renaissance of tomorrow". All the precious and rare work of Claude Gozlan is thus impregnated with symbols and signs that he himself sometimes hardly manages to decipher. He was, after his classical beginnings, attracted by surrealism, combining there reminiscences of Dali with an expressionism which is natural to him, and which will characterize his post-war paintings. He then produced a painting in a decidedly fantastic style like the one presented here. Overall dimensions 100 cm long x 83 cm high
