"Series Of 4 Mahogany Chairs Period Consulate In The Etruscan Empire"
Set of 4 mahogany chairs from the Directoire period - Consulate at the end of the 18th century Condition: Solidity: exemplary Restoration: none except 3 small gaps on the feet Varnish and paint: period varnish not redone simply passed to the reviver. Which means that the layer is thin, that there are small gaps and micro scratches. The palmette has been repainted. Tapestry: very comfortable. I think there is a bit of foam to provide comfort. Very recent renovation. Magnificent old raspberry silk. Condition of the silk excellent, however, I note a few small spots as well as a few black traces of glue on the braid. The defects described are of course minor.
