"Maurice Tisseyre (1920-2017) Entrance To The Venetian Lagoon With Gouache"
A mosaic of skilfully arranged colors brilliantly illustrates this view of the Venetian Lagoon with its water-green colors changing in the light. Our artist, a great traveler, this time planted his easel in Italy to move us with the infinite nuances of the reflections of the lagoon. In these gouaches, poetic and luminous, the earth, the sky and the water are one. Our work is the perfect example. Signed "M. Tisseyre" lower right. Dimensions: At sight: 22 cm x 30 cm Framing: 35 cm x 43 cm Good condition. Slight marks of seniority. Will be joined to the work, the original bristol of invitation of the Henquez Gallery in Paris to the exhibition of the artist's gouaches on this theme, Venice, which took place at the end of the year 1966 (see photos). Numerous exhibitions to his credit, including at the Galerie Henquez, the Salon Comparaison, the Biennale de Menton and the Grand Palais in Paris. For several decades, Maurice Tisseyre occupied a studio he shared with his wife Janine Marca in the artists' city called "Montmartre aux artistes" located 189 rue Ordener in Paris XVIIIth. It was while he was working in this workshop that our work was produced, its back card mentioning this address. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
