Student of Léon Bonnat and Henri Martin, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris from 1904 and received the gold medal in 1937. He occasionally participated in the Salon des Artistes Independants and the Salon des Tuileries, from 1927 in 1933. The French State buys many paintings from him, some of which are kept in French museums. In 1910, the Galerie Druet dedicated a personal exhibition to her, then Carrera moved to Marseille where she painted numerous views of the port and still lifes. His painting is characterized by bold and violent tones close to the painting of "Fauves", always with harmonious results. It is in the views of the south of France that his highest sense of color emanates. Like many of his colleagues, he later returned to a wiser and more sober style, with tones.
The painting is in good condition.
