Imposing 98 cm compass, from an 18th century stonemason, in wrought iron. With riveted square head, with drop in the shape of a stylized fleur-de-lys bearing an openwork heart in its center, Similar work on the other side of the compass. Squaring lines drawn on the edge. Start of points in the shape of an inverted double S thus forming two hearts. Monogrammed AB on each side. Length 98 cm, weight 3,248 kg. Good general condition with traces of use, see photos.
