"Regency Period Oak Castle Wardrobe"
Regency period castle cabinet in richly carved oak. Beginning of the 18th century. The front uprights are rounded, molded and carved with shells, foliage scrolls and flowers. The two-panel doors as well as the false frame are molded and finely carved with numerous shells and floral scrollwork. The sides are made up of three molded panels. The cornice is straight, with a step and five moldings. It is decorated with a row of gadroons. The feet are rave, flattened balls molded with a large leave. The interior consists of three shelves, one of which receives two drawers. The interior faces of the door panels are molded. Beautiful worked ironwork, cremones and locks, the original set.
