Binding of the time of full calf marbled and glazed blond, double gilded thread framing the covers, which are decorated in their center with the large gilded arms of Samuel-Jacques Bernard, Lord of Coubert, with the motto of the order of Saint -Louis: Bellicae virtutis praemium, ribbed spine adorned with cold greasy fillets, gilded framing boxes and serrated boxes, large gilded florets, seedlings of dotted lines, dots and golden stars, title and volume number pieces of morocco mahogany, golden title, golden tail pallet, golden roulette on the cuts, red edges. First edition. Ninth volume alone; however complete as such (covering Roman history from the dictatorship of Sylla to the reign of Claudius). Copy in binding with large gilded arms of Samuel-Jacques Bernard, Lord of Rieux, of Coubert, of Boulainvilliers worn on each of the covers. (Azure with the anchor Argent, senestée in chief of a star Argent, radiated Or). The book contains a large engraved figurative band and is also embellished with 6 pretty engraved plates (unsigned).
