"Gustave Madelain Chateau Gaillard Les Andelys"
French painter 1867 1944. His paintings are real testimonies of daily life. Exhibiting at the Salon des Indépendants since 1907, he had acquired a reputation as a painter of river docks. Thus we owe him many brushed canvases, in Le Havre, in Rouen, Aux Andelys and in Paris. Madelain leaves a roughly completed sample processed with great sensitivity. Madelain's retrospective in Paris (1926) was a great success with six architectural works purchased by the French government. I offer you an oil on wood panel representing Chateau Gaillard Aux Andelys, a high place of impressionism, beautiful palette of colors
