He is a pupil of C. Ciceri and Rubé, landscape painter and practical decorative master, as well as being an elegant miniaturist.
From 1857 until 1908 he exhibited at the Paris Salon landscapes presenting views of Provence, Saintonge and views of Strasbourg and Angers.
The painting is in very good condition.
