"Pair Of Louis XVI Armchairs By Chevigny, 18th Century"
Pair of armchairs with gendarme hat back in white and gray lacquered beech, richly carved with heart rays, rosettes and acanthus leaves. Amounts with detached columns, fluted surmounted by plumes. The belt with a slight jump. They are based on tapered and fluted legs.
Carries an unidentified inventory mark in the GD belt.
Work of Claude Chevigny, got his master on April 17, 1768.
Louis XVI period, 18th century.
Restored and re-upholstered in January-May 2021. Fabrics Tassinari & Chatel "Les Chinois".
