René Jean CLOT Algeria 1913 - 1997 Clermond-Ferrand French painter, engraver and writer, he joined the School of Fine Arts in Algiers in 1934, moved to a workshop in Montparnasse in 1935,: student of Grommaire and Othon Friez at the Académie Scandinave in 1936, was one of the literary men of the École d'Alger group. Winner of the 2 Magots and Renaudot prizes, he received numerous literary and plastic prizes. Boats at the quay Oil on wood signed and dated 1931 lower left 43x63 cm with frame 38x52 cm without frame
