"Victor Saglier - Serving Tray"
Silver-plated serving tray The turn of the tray is with a pearl motif, the handles are also decorated with pearls but also with leaves and scrollwork scrolls.
The body of the tray is completely smooth and is in very good condition with silver plating.
Note some slight de-silvering on the pearls in the turn and the handles of the plate (see photos), as well as some scratches from use on the back of the plate.
French work of the 19th century, by the silversmith Victor Saglier working in Paris from the mid-19th century until 1894.
It is marked "V S" with a boat, for Victor Saglier and "S F" with stars for his successor sons, Saglier Frères (working in Paris from 1894 to 1948).
