Large patinated gilt bronze clock representing an cherub or putto holding a messenger bird in its hand, next to it another bird is placed on the dial adorned with rams' heads, enamelled dial with Arabic numerals signed Denière * Paris, plinth in white marble, Napoleon III XIXth century. This clock is in good condition. It will have to be cleaned. The movement is signed Japy Frères Médaille d'Honneur, it works, we have its key and the balance. A note: the bird moves a little, some micro-chips on the marble, dirt and wear of time on the bronze, the gilding will have to be cleaned, wear of time, see photos. * Denière: created in 1804 by Jean-François Denière then taken over, from 1844, by the son, Guillaume Denière. The father and son were important manufacturers of decorative bronzes in Paris. Their works appeared at the Universal Exhibition of 1855 in Paris, described as: "pendulums, chandeliers, candelabra, tableware, fires etc, bronzes of different styles and eras".
