Burma, XIXth Century, Bronze Statuette Female Character With Ceremonial Dagger. flag

Object description :

"Burma, XIXth Century, Bronze Statuette Female Character With Ceremonial Dagger."
Burma, 19th century, in the style of the former province of Arakan, very pretty bronze statuette depicting a female character holding in her right hand a ceremonial dagger or a stylized vajra. The left hand is placed on the body at hip level, the thumb raised. The face with half-closed eyes reflects concentration and determination. The clothes are decorated with incised geometric patterns. The subject is richly adorned with jewelry (bracelets, earrings and a rich headdress finished at the top with a unisha). Very nice work highlighted by a brown patina. Part in good condition except for slight normal wear and tear. Height 23 cm.
