"Pl Konarzewski : "the Kiosk Of The Place Louis XIV In Saint-jean De Luz""
PL Konarzewski: "The bandstand at Place Louis XIV in Saint Jean de Luz", Chinese ink wash drawing 24 X 29 cm, mounted by a Marie-Louise in a small frame 37 X 43 cm. Redness, especially on the Marie-Louis, circa 1930/50. The illustrious Konarzewski family took root in the Basque Country when the grandfather Ladislas fled the Poland occupied by the Russians and settled in the Basque Country in 1865, opening one of the first photography studios which would last for three generations of Basque-Polish people. I don't know who the initials correspond to, but we can see that they were all artists in the family! Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or phone. In partnership with the Galerie Lafouresse, we are specialists in paintings on the Basque Country, the Landes and the Arcachon Basin. Other photos and many other objects in our stores in Pau and Biarritz and on our website: galerielhoste.com.
