"Armchair, Armchair In Walnut, Spain XVII E. Spanish Renaissance."
Rare armchair or armchair in carved and molded walnut, beautiful work of 17th century Spanish origin. It rests on four square section legs connected to each other by two scalloped crosspieces. The two front legs are united by means of a large cut-out, perforated and sculpted median cross member. The two rear legs are also connected to each other by an almost similar cross member, but without sculpture. The two side bands, as well as the front band under the seat are scalloped. The wooden seat has been covered with a red fabric and has a finish with gold studs. The armrests are wide, flat, slightly curved and finished with a very slight winding. The back uprights of the backrest are straight with a slight slope and end at their top with a palmette and a winding. They are connected to each other by two cut and sculpted wooden bands. Note, usual repairs especially at both ends of the backrest fretels, as well as four wooden brackets for reinforcement under the seat (see photos). Shipping costs by carrier contact us.
