Portrait of a young woman in Renaissance clothing was created by the famous Viennese painter of the time of historicism Anton Ebert (1845 Mies, Bohemia - 1896 Vienna). The artist was a very renowned genre and portrait painter, who worked in Vienna in the 2nd half of the 19th century. He studied at the Academy of Prague and at the Academy of Vienna in the class of the famous F. Waldmüller. This portrait was painted by the artist under the influence of his contemporary and founder of Viennese-style historicism Hans Makart (1840-1884).

Literature: The artist is listed in: "Dictionary of Austrian artists" by Heinrich Fuchs, Vienna 1974 and "General glossary of visual artists" by Thieme / Becker. Leipzig, 1999.
Inscription: signed lower right, on the back of the canvas there is an inscription in Italian with the name of the person represented in Italian: "Sinorita Escozura 1882".
