A miniature portrait of Theodore Joseph Horst. Théodore was an Eau de Cologne trader in Cologne. his company was called Johann Karl Farina. the portrait dates from his youth, around 1820. He died in Cologne in 1868 at the age of 68. Usually, this kind of portrait is anonymous, the peculiarity is that a descendant of Theodore wrote a description on the back.
