"Indian Spearhead"
A massive spear-butt from the south of India or Deccan. Probably early 18th century. The tapering body with chiselled brass lobbed collars with lotus shaped finals, reeded spherical mid-point with matching brass registers, the spike base with applied brass lattice decoration, square section spike. Very good condition. A rare find. 49 cm. 5 cm diameter base. 1008 grams.
