Orientalist incense burner : "The flower basket", patinated regulator on a molded peach blossom marble base 15.5 X 10 X 11 cm. Representing a young woman dressed in the oriental style holding a basket of flowers, the upper part of which is pierced with holes in order to let the fragrant fumes escape or to plant incense sticks in it. "In its own juice", the deposits attest to a long use. Circa 1890/1900.
