""inkwell With The Neapolitan Fisherman" By Jb Carpeaux"
Bronze inkwell, creation of JB Carpeaux in 1869-1870, variant of the bust of the Neapolitan laughter, the edition of which was rare, both during the artist's lifetime and subsequently by the publisher Susse, who bought the rights to the Carpeaux family in 1913. This rather humorous inkwell uses elements such as frogs, lobsters and turtles for decoration, undoubtedly an influence of the stay in the region of Naples and in Italy (Medici villa in Rome).
